YEREVAN, January 31. / ARKA /. Seven insurance companies operating in Armenia were among 1000 largest corporate taxpayers in 2012 having paid a total of 1.6 billion drams in various taxes, the State Revenue Committee (SRC) said in a statement posted on its official website.

According to the statement, 95.8%, or 1.52 billion drams were direct taxes. Overall, insurance companies accounted for only 0.3 percent of all taxes paid by 1000 largest taxpayers, SRC said.

Rosgosstrakh Armenia was said to have paid 375.1 million drams in taxes, Ingo Armenia -372 million drams, Nairi Insuarnce- 266.9 million drams Reso -246.1 million drams, Rasco -125. 8 million drams, Cascade Insurance -107.7 million drams, Garant Insurance -100.2 million drams.
