YEREVAN, March 22. /ARKA/. USD purchasing/selling in currency exchange offices of Armenia dropped by 38.9% to $52.2 million in January compared to December, Central Bank of Armenia said in its monthly news report for January.
An average weighted exchange rate for USD purchasing was 405.24 drams (0.29 p.p. up in a month), and for USD selling—406.68 drams (0.17 p.p. up).
Russian ruble trading stood at 908.5 million rubles in January, which was 34.7% lower from a month earlier. An average weighted exchange rate for RUB purchasing was 13.18 drams (0.23 p.p. up in a month), and for selling—13.21 drams (0.22 p.p. up).
