YEREVAN, September 9. /ARKA/. The European bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is holding a solid waste management seminar in Tsakhkadzor on September 11-12, the bank’s press office reported.
The seminar will kick off 10:00 on Thursday September 11 in Golden Palace hotel in Tsakhkadzor. Armenia’s deputy minister of territorial administration Artashes Bakhshyan will deliver a welcoming speech at the opening.
Some sixty experts from eight countries, including Belarus, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Mongolia and Tajikistan are invited to participate in the seminar and exchange their experience in solid waste management. Factors contributing to success of similar programs in the region will be discussed.
EBRD programs facilitate investments in construction and maintenance of sanitary dumpsites, closing-down of old test sites, delivery of equipment and utilization tools for companies engaged in solid waste management.
