YEREVAN, May 6. / ARKA /. On the eve of May 9 Victory Day, the Russian-owned Areximbank - Gazprombank Group handed gifts and financial assistance to a group of Armenian veterans of World War II as part of a social program called ‘Across the country and in the interest of every veteran,’ according to a bank’s press release.
"Your courage, heroism and sacrifice for the sake of future generations will always be for us a matter of pride and emulation. There is nothing that can pay our common obligation to you. These gifts - a small fraction of what we can do to please our veterans on the eve of the Great Victory ", the chief executive director of the bank, Armen Khandkaryan, was quoted as saying.
He wished the veterans peaceful sky, good health and welfare and prosperity to their families. Khandkaryan also expressed special thanks to Russian ambassador to Armenia, Vyacheslav Kovalenko and the Russian embassy for providing the opportunity to congratulate the veterans on the Victory Day.
