Over AMD 26.741 billion sent to government budget by Armenia’s banks in 1st H 2020

YEREVAN, July 20. /ARKA/. All the 17 banks of Armenia are among the 1000 biggest taxpayers of the country. They have transferred more than 26, 741 billion drams to the government budget over a period between January and June 2020, according to the State Revenue Committee.

More than 26.7 billion drams here has been collected directly by the tax authorities, and about 82.864 billion drams - by the customs agencies.

Around 8.874 billion drams came here as profit tax, 14.312 billion drams - income tax, 1.068 billion drams – VAT and 1.322 billion drams accounted for other taxes and duties.

The five leaders in tax payments among banks are Ameriabank - 3.303 billion drams (19th rank), ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK - 3.163 billion drams (20th rank), Armswissbank - 2.778 billion drams (23rd rank), Armbusinessbank - 2.257 billion drams (33rd rank) and Ardshinbank - 2.186 billion drams (35th rank).

The first hundred largest taxpayers includes Converse Bank - 2.134 billion drams (38th place), Inecobank - about 1.705 billion drams (51st place), Unibank - 1.683 billion drams (52nd place), Armeconombank - 1.527 billion (56th place), VTB Bank (Armenia) - 1.327 billion drams (62nd place), Araratbank - 1.140 billion drams (75th place), Evocabank - 1.035 billion (87th place) ) and HSBC Bank Armenia - 892.357 million drams (100th place).

The other four banks took the following positions in the list, in particular, ID Bank - 668.359 million AMD (130th place), Byblos Bank Armenia - 472.818 million AMD (179th place), Mellat Bank - 340.849 million AMD (242 place), Artsakhbank (central branch) - 122.764 million drams (651st place).

The 1000 largest taxpayers of Armenia have transferred more than 492.668 billion drams to the government budget over the first half of 2020, compared to 511 billion drams for the same period a year earlier, according to the State Revenue Committee’s report for the first half of 2020.

The Grand Tobacco Company, with its 26.339 billion drams transferred to the government budget for the mentioned period, is topping the ranking. Gazprom Armenia CJSC, with its 25.978 billion drams, came second, and Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine, with its about 21.629 billion drams, third in the ranking. GeoProMining, which paid 12.771 billion drams to the budget for the reporting period, ranked fourth and CPS Oil (9.678 billion drams) fifth. ($1 – AMD 482.62). -0---
