YEREVAN, March 14. /ARKA/. Institutional foreign investors have purchased about $500 million worth of Armenian government bonds, Armenian Securities Exchange (AMX) Director General Hayk Yeganyan said today.

"We note also great interest in Armenian corporate bonds. We are trying to create new bridges to deliver Armenian corporate bonds to international markets as well," Yeganyan said during the II Capital Markets Armenia conference organized by Cbonds.

According to him, the market is developing very actively. Last year the growth of corporate bonds issue amounted to 40%, their volume amounted to $400 million, government bonds worth about $5 billion are in circulation.

 The Armenian Stock Exchange is the only regulator of the securities market in Armenia.

Warsaw Stock Exchange (WFB) acquired 65.03% of AMX shares for AMD 873 million (about $2.2 million) in June 2022. Another 25.02% is owned by the Central Bank of Armenia.
