YEREVAN, April 5. /ARKA/. Armenia's total state debt as of February 29, 2024, stood at $11.9 billion, increasing by $28.643 million from January 31, the National Statistical Committee reported. On December 31, 2023 the state debt was worth over $11.8 billion.

Of the total debt over $6.4 was was the external debt (a decrease of $19.6 mln., while the domestic debt increased by $48.2 mln. to $5.5 billion.

Of the external debt the government debt decreased by $19 million to $5.9 billion.

The debt of the Central Bank decreased by $531,000 to $539.7illion.

Of the domestic debt, $4.9 billion  (up $45.8 mln) were owed to residnet holders of government treasury bonds. The debt to resident holders of  government eurobonds amounted to $517.9 mln (up $2.473 mln). Domestic  guarantees provided by the governmnt stood at $17.6 mln (down $0.119 mln). -0-
