Armenia's foreign exchange reserves drop to $2.400.3 billion in January 2021

YEREVAN, February 26. /ARKA/. Armenia's foreign exchange reserves, as of January 2021, stood at $2.4 billion, down from $2.615.5 billion in late December 2020, the Central Bank said in a report.

It said the bulk of foreign exchange reserves - $2.393.9 billion ($2.606.6 billion in December 2020) - were external reserves, of which $1.398.3 billion ($1.780.5 billion in December 2020) were securities and $995.6 ($826.1 million in December 2020) were cash and deposits.

Other foreign exchange reserves, as of January 2021, were worth $21.5 million ($26.5 million in December 2020).

In 2019, Armenia's forex reserves increased by 26.1%, or by about $590 million to $2.85 billion in late December. ($1 - 525.76 drams). -0-
