Deposits in may 2011 increase by 1.4% from april to 757.4 billion drams.

YEREVAN, July 22. / ARKA /. The volume of deposits attracted by Armenian commercial banks in May 2011 increased by 1.4% compared to the previous month of April and amounted to about 757.4 billion drams, the Central Bank of Armenia said in a statement posted on its official website.

According to the statement, the volume of deposits attracted by commercial banks in May of this year compared to the same period last year increased by 117.6 billion drams or 18.4%. The volume of deposits in drams in May 2011 increased by 4.9% from April to 228.7 billion drams. Deposits in foreign currencies fell by 0.01% to 528.7 billion drams at the end of May.
