YEREVAN, October 7. /ARKA/. Bank VTB (Armenia) has become the sponsor of Shirak football club, the bank’s press office re[prted.

The report says the bank’s team will meet in a friendly against Shirak in Giumry on Wednesday October 8. The owner of the club Arman Sahakyan and the general director of the bank Yury Gusev are expected to give interviews at the match.

Shirak club of Giumry was founded in 1958 and is one of the most decorated football teams in Armenia. It is a four-time winner of Armenia championship (1992, 1994, 1999, 2012/2013). It also won Armenian Cup in 2011/12 and Super Cup in 1996, 1999, 2003 and 2013. The head of Sovrano Group of Companies Arman Sahakyan has been the owner of the club since 2010.
