YEREVAN, December 17. / ARKA /. Transactions with currency have resumed today at Nasdaq OMX Armenia stock exchange after a three-day halt. The average exchange rate of US dollar at the stock exchange has risen by 21.48 percent from December 10 to 560 drams.
The stock exchange told ARKA that one transaction was effected today with US dollars worth $100,000 (the equivalent of 56 million drams). The average market exchange rate of the USD at the end of December 17 was 527.20 drams, the euro traded at 656.94 drams.
The Central Bank has sold today $4 million at the local market at the weighted average exchange rate of 570.58 drams per one US Dollar. -0-
