YEREVAN, November 14. / ARKA /. Bagrat Yengibarian, Director of the Enterprise incubator Foundation (EIF), said Armenian banks should be more active in lending to citizens for purchase of smartphones. Speaking to ARKA he said the banking sector should be interested in providing affordable loans for the purchase of smartphones, as it is with laptops.

According to Yengibaryan, the pricing policies of Armenian mobile operators offering more favorable terms for purchase of smartphones, have improved the situation somewhat; however, smartphones are still not available to the majority of Armenians.

"Armenians are known by their desire to have the latest and greatest. And in this sense the banks should offer them low-interest loans to buy smartphones, "- he said.
