YEREVAN, August 27. /ARKA/. Armenia’s Investigative Committee revealed details of a theft of large amount of money from an ATM in the capital city Yerevan owned by Conversebank.
It said on August 21 the bank’s security unit reported that a large amount of money -7.2 million drams (almost $ 15 thousand) - had been stolen from one of its ATMs in Yerevan with the use of special device on August 17. The criminal case into this crime was launched the following day by the Arabkir Police Department.
After a set of investigative and search measures the police managed to identity the person who was directly involved in the theft from the ATM. It is a 39-year-old resident of Yerevan who facilitated the theft by providing information to other people.
