Minimum subsistence basket becomes 13.5% cheaper in Armenia

YEREVAN, November 1. /ARKA/. Minimum subsistence basket in Armenia amounted to AMD 53,804.2 a month in late September after contracting by 13.5% since late June, National Statistical Service of Armenia reported on Tuesday.

Minimum aggregate cost of foods in the basket reduced by 13.6% over a period between June and September to AMD 30,397.8 drams.

The minimum consumption basket includes bread (monthly per-capita bread consumption in Armenia amounts to AMD 3,351.5), meat products (AMD 7,800.4 per-capita consumption), potatoes (AMD 1,605.3), fruits (AMD 3,885.4), sugar (AMD 643.1), dairy products (AMD 5,965.8), eggs (AMD 871.4), vegetable oil (AMD 511.3), fishes (AMD 1,925.8), margarine (AMD 318.5) and other foods.
