YEREVAN, November 2510. /ARKA/. Six Armenia-based insurance companies collected a total of 29.9 billion drams in the first 9 months of 2019 as premiums for mandatory insurance of vehicles and paid 16.7 billion drams in damage compensation claims, according to ARKA news agency’s bulletin "Insurance Companies of Armenia" for the third quarter of 2018. The figures represented 25.1% and 38% growths respectively from a year ago.

The leading company by size of premiums collected for mandatory insurance of vehicles was Rosgosstrakh-Armenia - 8.713 billion drams. It also paid more than 5 drams in damage compensation claims.

It was followed by Ingo Armenia – more than 7.1 billion drams, collected as premiums for mandatory insurance of cars. It also paid 3.763 billion drams in damage compensation claims. Nairi Insurance with almost 5.9 billion drams of collected insurance premiums was third. It also paid 3.122 billion drams in damage compensation claims. Sil Insurance with 3.484 billion drams and 2.160 billion drams respectively was fourth. It was followed by Reso with 2.608 billion drams and 1.540 billion drams and Armenia Insurance with 2.055 billion drams and 1.140 billion drams respectively.
