Armenian dram strengthens by 0.3% against dollar in November

YEREVAN, November 30. /ARKA/. Consumer prices rose 1.6% in Armenia in November, compared with October, as the Armenian dram strengthened by 0.3% against the U.S. dollar, National Statistical Service of Armenia reports.

In November compared with December 2009, consumer prices went 7.5% up, and the Armenian national currency weakened by 5 percent against the dollar.

According to the statistical report, consumer prices rose 4.5% and the dram climbed 25.7% against the dollar in November, compared with the same month a year earlier.

In November 2010, the dollar traded at 361.51 drams, while in November 2009, it traded at 387.08 drams.

The exchange rate set by the Central Bank of Armenia on November 30 was AMD 359.07 per $1. -0—
