YEREVAN, August 8. /ARKA/. Total deposits in 17 Armenia-based commercial banks at the end of June, 2022 were worth 4.07 trillion drams, up from 4.06 trillion dram in late May, according to the National Statistical Committee (NSC).

It said non-residents' deposits in June totaled about 944.7bln drams, up from more than 909bln drams in late May. Residents’ deposits dropped to about 3.13 trillion drams from 3.16 trillion drams in May.

Out of the total 1.82 trillion resident deposits in Armenian drams some 725 billion were demand deposits and about 1.1 trillion drams were time deposits.

Out of foreign currency deposits of about 1, 3 trillion drams (equivalent), demand deposits totaled 563,2bln and time deposits - about 743,1bln drams.

At the end of June 2022, individual deposits stood at about 1.9 trillion drams or 0.6% less versus the previous month and 168 or 9.9% more versus the same period of 2021.

In June, the rate on commercial bank deposits was 8.13% (8.46% in May). ($1 - 406.14 drams) -0-
