YEREVAN, September 13. / ARKA /. Armenian commercial banks bought a total of $67 million at the local forex market on September 5-9 at the weighted average exchange rate of 473.78 drams per $1, the Central Bank said today.
They also bought a total of 5.8 million euros and 1.1 billion Russian rubles at the weighted average exchange rates of 529.35 drams and 7.3 drams respectively.
The banks also sold $79.1 million, 11.8 million euros and 471.7 million rubles at the weighted average exchange rates of 475.34 drams, 533.89 drams and 7.39 drams respectively.
In addition, from August 29 to September 4 the banks provided 40.1 billion drams worth loans in the national currency and $49.6 million worth loans in USD. ($ 1- 474.26 drams). -- 0--
