YEREVAN, June 22. /ARKA/. The amount of transactions made by using  payment cards issued by Armenian and foreign banks in 2015 April across Armenia decreased by 3.6% from March to about 108.4 billion drams, according to the monthly bulletin of the Central Bank of Armenia for April 2016. The total number of transactions fell by almost 4% to 2,388,406.

According to the Central Bank, the same cards were used to make 5 billion drams worth online transactions, a 3% decline from 2016 March, while their total number dropped by 2.5% to 257,672.

The volume of transactions made by these cards via ATMs at the end of April 2016 stood at 83 billion drams, a decline of 4.1% from March, while their total number fell by 4.2% to 1,806,442.

According to Central Bank data, the volume of transactions made by these cards via  POS-terminals and imprinters in April fell by 1.7% from March to about 20.3 billion drams, while the total number of such transactions grew by 3.3% to 324,294 ($ 1 - 476.38 drams). -0-
