YEREVAN, June 23. /ARKA/. Speaking at a panel discussion on the financial market of Armenia within the frameworks of a CIS Bonds (CBonds) conference in Yerevan today, Armenian Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan detailed the steps taken by the government to develop this market and attract finances.

"Armenia's financial market is small, but it has good opportunities for development. After 2018, when the system of government changed, Armenia took the path of democratic development, making running profitable business here very feasible,’ the minister said.

He said the Armenian government is carrying out continuous reforms to make the country more attractive, to bring new investments and develop the financial sector.

Cbonds, the leading information resource on Russian and CIS financial markets, is holding the annual conference in Yerevan June 23-24.

The 2-day discussions will focus on forecasts and scenarios of macro analysts, new opportunities in CIS debt markets, and settlements in national currencies of CIS, EEU and Middle East countries. -0-
