YEREVAN, July 6. /ARKA/. Unibank said that Ruzanna Khachatryan, a cleaning service employee, died as a result of the explosion at the bank's branch in the town of Ashtarak today morning.

"We express our deep condolences to the family and relatives of Ruzanna Khachatryan," the bank said on its Facebook page.

It also noted that other employees of the branch have been taken to hospital and relevant specialists are working at the site.

"The circumstances of the explosion will be presented in more detail after the conclusion of experts," the bank noted.

Earlier, the Emergency Situations Ministry said the explosion was reported to it at 09:07. The fire caused by the explosion was localized at 09:25 and extinguished at 09:54.

As a result of the explosion one person was killed, five others were injured. The victims were hospitalized at Ashtarak Medical Center, one of whom was later taken to the National Burn Center in Yerevan. -0-
