YEREVAN, June 6. /ARKA/. Armenia has created its own national payment and settlement system, called Stak Transfer, the Central Bank chairman Artur Javadyan said on June 5 in parliament.
According to him, the Stak Transfer national payment and settlement system will be launched in three months. The main goal of this project, he said, is to ensure security requirements. He said all commercial banks of Armenia are members of the new system.
He said the 100 million drams worth project has been implemented jointly with experts from South Korea.
“The system is not working yet, but it will soon be launched and we will present its potential,” he said.
In his words, the new system may become part of a transnational money transfer system which members of the Eurasian Economic Union want to create.
According to him, the new system will allow to avoid various kinds of pressure and sanctions that may be slapped on EEU member countries.-- 0-
